I was surprised at the concept of this book. If you click the link it will take you to the synopsis, so I won't bore you with that. Understanding death is something I'm sure most humans wish they could master. I'm not any different in that aspect. The unknown is terrifying to creatures that label and order their world. The Everafter creates an existence that is not heaven in the traditional sense. The story concept takes some getting used to, yet I was pulled along and struggled to understand just as the protagonist does. There was a need for resolution throughout the book that did not disappoint at the end.
